Monday 13th July

Today is the beginning of your last week at Thorns Primary School. You should have had lots to look forward to this week: your leaver's performance, your prom and your very last day in Year 6 and at Thorns. None of us could possibly have imagined how this year would turn out. None of us had heard of social distancing when we started the school year but the world has changed around us and we have had to change with it. We can all keep hoping that the world gets back to something we recognise as normal as soon as possible.

As most of you are at Thorns Collegiate Academy Summer School this week, we are not setting different work each day. You can choose from the different websites that are recomended and you can choose what you choose to do.

We hope to see as many of you as possible on Friday,

Mrs Whyatt and Mrs Rees

You are living through a 'new normal' historical time. It is importnat that we hear your thoughts and opinions about this time to know how Year 6 at Thorns spent their time. We would like to save this work in a Time Capsule type box. Thank you to those of you that looked at the clips last week to consider whether burying the artefacts would be be the best way to preserve them. Have a go at completing the questions on the activity below. If you don't have a printer, write your answers on another piece of paper. It does not have to be on this one. Please send your work  to me throught the school email, either as a photogrpah or an attached document if you have typed your answers.
