Monday 29th June

Good morning Year 6! There aren't many weeks of term left and I'm sure you are all starting to think about the end of primary school and moving to your new schools. Transition for most of you is next week and you will be looking at The War of the Worlds so we have made this week's theme space so that you will know a little bit before you start. I hope you like the picture; the otter looks very happy to be in space!

We will be finishing reading Robin Hood this week and we will then look at a new book before the end of the year.

Keep working hard,

Mrs Whyatt and Mrs Rees

Want to find out more about the planets with your family? Then watch this series on the BBC The Planets narrated by Brian Cox.

Tuesday 30th June

Good morning Year 6! I hope that you have enjoyed the start to the week. More work on angles today and some work about the setting of Robin Hood. The Major Oak is amazing - maybe it will feature in your writing.

Keep working hard,

Mrs Whyatt and Mrs Rees

Wednesday 1st July

It's the start of a new month and the last month for you at Thorns.

Today is investigation day in maths so choose one you like the look of. It's the end of reading Robin Hood today too.

Keep working hard,

Mrs Whyatt and Mrs Rees

Thursday 2nd July

Today is the last day we will look at Robin Hood and we will be practising our summarising skills before we move on to a new book. I'll post pictures of my maths answers later today.

Keep working hard,

Mrs Whyatt and Mrs Rees

Friday 3rd July

Almost the weekend again and a few more weeks until the end of the term.

We're going to start looking at a new book today and it's not like anything we've looked at before so look closely. The link is below.

Keep working hard,

Mrs Whyatt and Mrs Rees
