We have been studying the work of the Japanese artist, Hokusai. His works include many scenes of life in Japan,often with Mount Fuji in the Background. Whilst his work is woodblock, we have used this opportunity to learn about persepctive, complimentary colours and water colour technique. They are very pleased with the effective work they have produced.

In addtion, we have been reading 'Kensuke's Kingdom' which adopts features of his work on the front cover and is an artist that the character refers to.
