Easter Week 2

This is an easy task that you can do in any way that you would like to express yourself.

I want you to think about what you did over Easter and how you and your household celebrated this festival. Now, you may not celebrate the Christian holiday of Easter - but most religions and cultures have a way of celebrating the coming of Spring. (Remember in the Firework Maker's Daughter they celebrated their Spring with a Water festival - much like Song Kran is celebrated in Thailand) So even if you don't celebrate the traditional festival of Easter, I'd like for you to think about what you did over the Easter break.

Next, think about a way for you to present your experiences to an audience. There are some ideas below but you could do this task in any way you like - be creative!

  • You could write a letter describing the exciting things you've done.
  • Illustrate a picture and draw the fun you had.
  • Make a scrap book or scrap picture with photos and bits cut out of magazines.
  • Make a video and reinact some of the things you did together.
  • Create a PowerPoint slideshow and present it to your family about the best thing you did.
  • Draw a 'story map' that shows the things you did between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.
  • Find an old t shirt and design a logo that shows the things you did Easter 2020.
  • Bake a cake and decorate it with different aspects of your holiday.
  • Sculpt a representation of something you did using scrap recycling.
  •

What will you design and create? It can be as simple or complex as you like! You decide! (And HAVE FUN!)
