Year 6 were asked, along with other local schools, by the local branch of the British Legion to create poppies. One poppy was made for each of the names on the Peace Memorial in Stevens Park. The children wrote messages of thanks to the soldiers who gave their lives. The poppies were then put on display in the park for the Remembrance Service to mark 100 years since the end of The First World War.
