Halloween Treat Box
In Key Stage One we have been designing and making Halloween Treat Boxes. They had to have a fully functioning clasp and hinge. The children enjoyed making and decorating their box.
Lego Discovery Centre
KS1 visited Lego Discovery Centre in Birmingham. The children enjoyed making different creations using Lego. The children used their investigation skills to make and test a house that would withstand an earthquake. They also made model cars and tested them on the ramp. At the end of the day they had chance to meet a Lego character.
Safari Park Visit
KS1 had a fantastic time at the Safari Park despite the wet weather. The children were able to visit the African Village and learnt about the animals that live there. The children developed their knowledge about the animals and their habitats.

In Design and Technology we have been making sandwiches. The children practised their skills needed for the projects, tasted options they could use for their sandwich and designed what they wanted their sandwich to look like.

In Art we have been looking at the work of Claude Monet. We created seascapes using collage.

We have had a phase assembly in which the children received their praise certificates and a reward from the reading fairy.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - DPA Performance
